Kenn has been a professional musician for over 17 years. He is classically trained as both a pianist and vocalist. Born and raised in the River Valley Arkansas, his passion for music was discovered at a very young age in middle school in Van Buren, AR. He won numerous band and vocal awards in junior high and high school, including All-Region and All-State awards in both baritone and french horn and as a vocal tenor in Chorus. He began playing the piano at the age of 16 by picking out chords to songs he liked. Kenn went on to college as a vocal music major where he also had a scholarship as an audio engineer. It was there that his passion for performing while singing and playing the piano began to develop.
Kenn, like many other musicians/performers, cut his teeth by playing gospel music. He served on numerous church worship ministries including being paid staff in four different churches from 1997-2010.
In 2010, he joined the dueling piano circuit and in 2011 began touring and performing in various venues on a full-time basis. Armed to entertain with vocals that catch your attention, great piano chops and vast song repetoire; it is his "regular guy" attitude and "off-the-cuff" humor that made him a favorite regular performer at such venues as:
Rumrunners- Destin, FL, Panama City Beach FL and Raleigh, NC;
The Penguin (Cincinnati, Lexington, Dallas and Columbia, MO);
526 Main Dueling Piano Bar, Royal Oak, MI (Detroit)
Howl at the Moon, Ft. Walton Beach, FL
